TankGauge is a smart water tank monitoring system developed by Custom Smart Controls. It’s designed to give users real-time visibility of their water levels from anywhere — whether you're at home, on the farm, or off-grid.
The unit includes:
- An enclosed electrical control box containing MCB protection, power supplies, and a Wi-Fi-enabled microcontroller
- A precision pressure sensor to measure the water level
- A pre-installed 220V AC power cord with plug
Installation is simple and can be done by the customer or by Custom Smart Controls:
- Drop the pressure sensor into your water tank
- Plug the power cord into a nearby 220V AC outlet
- Connect to the device’s built-in Wi-Fi access point (e.g.
CSC_unit_1) - Open the TankGauge app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect the device to your Wi-Fi network and calibrate the sensor
The app guides you step by step through calibration and setup. Once complete, visit www.smartcontrols.co.za and click on Register to create your online profile.
A Custom Smart Controls representative will then link your TankGauge device to your profile. After this, you can log into the TankGauge app using your credentials to view your live tank level.
Auto-login is supported for up to 30 days, after which you'll be asked to log in again for security purposes.
Requirements:
- 220V AC power near the tank
- A Wi-Fi network with internet access in range of the device
- An Android smartphone (iOS version is currently under development)
